On speaking either way
We need to speak either way. The important words have their place now. Yet the merely human ones have proved, paradoxically, to have devastating consequences when they are addressed to human beings in real life; Twitter could be the right place for these difficult words.
The structural incomprehension, potentially hostile distance, and ephemerality of every word on Twitter could be reinterpreted as strangely conducive to one’s own more human needs.
