There is a modest and obvious truth that might not seem important in everyday life, but it should be considered if we want to put up with less nonsense and less cringe everywhere.
Most people have no idea why an aeroplane flies; they simply see that it flies, and that is why they trust ‘science’ and ‘scientists’.
Likewise, people take it for granted that quantum theory is serious because they have been told that, thanks to quantum theory, things like the modern mobile phone exist.
Reason has almost no real relevance in the human world. What actually rules the human world is trust and similar psychological factors.
