Not hot enough for air conditioning — unless one’s sitting in a car with the windows closed

I went outside for a cigarette and a Škoda Fabia drove by, with its windows closed and ‘Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head’ blasting. It’s not raining here now, it’s hot, and I wondered if the air conditioning was on. It isn’t hot enough for that — unless you’re sitting in a car with the windows closed.

From there my mind went to the film The Sting, and the singer Sting, and finally realised that the song wasn’t from the film at all but from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and that the man in the hat cycling with the girl perched on the front wasn’t Robert Redford but Paul Newman.
